Are we ready for 3D camcorders?
I don't think so, at least not at this price. But, it's pretty cool.

Mini Camcorders Are Taking Over
Has anyone else noticed that Mini Camcorders, those little fit-in-your-pocket camcoders (or simply "pocket camcorders"), seem to be everywhere these days?
I especially noticed this during the Christmas shopping season's ads this past year. In fact, I would say that 2009 was the year of the Mini Camcorders.

I've taken note of Mini Camcorders because I really like the idea of small camcorders (and small digital cameras). I certainly prefer the concept of having a camcorder that is small enough to carry around with me conveniently so that it's handy whenever I might want to use it, as opposed to camcorders that are a little bigger and just not that convenient to bring along. All other things being equal, who wouldn't prefer a camcorder small enough to fit in your pocket?
Size is definitely the best/main feature of Mini Camcorders. However, while Mini Camcorders do not necessarily compete with larger, more fully featured (and more expensive) camcorders, they hold their own quite nicely. In fact, unless you're looking for a camcorder with significant zoom capabilities or higher end video quality, a Mini Camcorder might be right for you.
The Mini Camcorders category of camcorders was popularized by The Flip (of which there are now several different models, including a high definition version). The various Flip models, along with with the Creative Vado, Creative Vado HD, and the Kodak Zi6 are some of the popular and highly rated and reviewed Mini Camcorders on the market. Prices currently range from under $100 to around $200, depending on models, features, age (in the market), etc.
As you can see, I've taken a liking and an interest in the smallest of the small as it relates to camcorders. I've even recently (around the beginning of 2010) begun my own blog on the topic. There, I do my best to provide quality info, ratings, and reviews on Mini Camcorders.
